Thank you for supporting our fall native sale! The sale is our largest fundraiser and we simply couldn't do it without you!
Tuesday:
When the trees arrive from the supplier (box trailer) we will unload and organize them by species. We typically use wheelbarrows and carts to move trees.
On Tuesday the trees will arrive at the barn from the supplier at approximately 8:00am. After we unload the trees (~ 1 hour), the truck returns to the nursery and picks up the second load. The second delivery usually occurs around noon. We unload the second delivery, organize species, and "pull" large orders and group them by customer.
We typically get more details about delivery timing the week before or early that week. Things can change based on the # of trees ordered and the nursery delivery vehicles. We will communicate any adjustments to this schedule via email as soon as we have them. We appreciate your flexibility and are thankful for your support.
Thursday & Friday:
On Thursday and Friday customers will come to the Llama Barn to pick up their orders. Volunteers will "pull" the customer's order as they arrive and help load the trees into the customer's vehicle.
Volunteers in this role will need to walk and carry trees by hand or with a wheelbarrow short distances and load the trees into vehicles. Gloves will be provided. Making sure you pull the correct species for each order is VERY important in this role.
